If you are on your path of spiritual and emotional development, or just want to be a happier person – you have a treasure mine right under your nose. And I’m not talking about any weird fast-cash courses or “secret techniques” native to the jungles of the Amazon. I’m talking about… YouTube.
There are some real gems out there. People from all over the world share their wisdom, experience, advice. There you have Buddhist monks who talk about how to live in the here and now. There are spiritual teachers from India who teach how to quiet the mind and connect with the heart. There are also healers, people who talk to angels (seriously!) and book authors whose words hit the spot when you need them most.
And you know what’s most beautiful? That it’s all free. You go in, you click, you listen. In the car, in the bath, before bed. You can access life-changing wisdom. It’s damn well worth taking advantage of this opportunity.
Ladies and Gentlemen, Jay Shatty!
If you don’t know where to start – I recommend you an interview with Jay Shetty on the Mel Robbins channel: click here. Jay is a former monk, a New York Times bestselling author, and the host of one of the most successful podcasts in the world, On Purpose. In this podcast, he shares timeless wisdom on finding clarity, unlocking passion, and cultivating a deep sense of peace about where you are and where you’re headed.
Guy has an incredible peace, but also a looseness that keeps you from feeling like you’re on some preachy rant. He talks about how to find meaning, how to heal your relationships, how to love yourself – and these are not empty slogans. These are concrete, life-affirming tips that really work.
Jay reminds us that you don’t have to be perfect to be valuable. That true happiness doesn’t depend on what you have, but on how in tune you are with yourself. And that every day is a chance to take a small step forward – toward yourself.
So the next time you reach for your phone, instead of scrolling senselessly, fire up something that feeds you from the inside out – there’s more spiritual gold on YouTube than you think. You just have to rummage through the mass of content and find what’s really worth listening to.
Would you like to get to know Jay better? I recommend the book “Think like a Monk”.
